New Member Registered	I have lived in Calgary for almost 5 years now but I continue to find it difficult to meet new people. For most of the 5 years I was a single working mom and didn't have the time to go out and socialize. Friends that were able to get together when I wasn't don't have time now when I do. Because of this I have the time but no one to go shopping with or just out for coffee to get away from the house for a while. I am a 27 year old mother of an 8 year old boy. I live in the NE in Temple, but love to drive all over the city. If you are finding the same situation... please let me know and maybe we can help each other out. Take care and have fun. New Member Registered	HI there, I am back from Ontario with noone to know in Calgary but my relatives I am here for 5 months before I go back to school in Toronto so if you want to grab a coffee sometime give me a shout. I am working in Calgary and I would love to get out and do something besides visiting with relatives. I am 31 male, separated/ divorced and like you said meet people men or woman for common interests etc. If you feel like you want to grab a coffee or whatever give send me an email. Right now I live in mayland heights n.e. Calgary but may be moving to another location if i can find other parents interested in a roomate situation or some one to find something with. We visit new people who move into neighborhoods and give them free items and information from the city and companies in the area. We also perform new baby and wedding visits. It's a great job for stay at home moms or women looking to add to their income, some women do this for a living. It's a job, so there are no fees and you give back to your community by providing a service in which you get paid between $10-$15 a visit. I have a 3-1/2 year old and one on the way. I can do about 20-25 visits a month and make around $300 a month. There are openings all over the city and especially in the NE. Welcome Wagon has been serving the communities of Canada since 1930. New Member Registered	Hi there! Recently I just started with a company called Stampin' Up as an Independent Demonstrator. What the company provides is an exclusive line of decorative stamp sets and accessories for greeting cards, craft projects and scrapbooking. I am part of a "scrapbooking" night in which a few gals get together and exchange scrapbooking supplies and ideas. So for this reason I joined Stampin' Up! Scrapbooking is the "craze" right now so I thought that it might be fun.....keeps me busy anyway! I myself live in the NE (Coventry) and would like to meet a few people from this area who are scrapbookers! I was thinking about hosting my own "workshop" at my house. A workshop is where I would show you a few items, some examples, we would do a make-and-take (probably a card) and then if you want (or not) you can purchase some items from my catalog. And of course there would be free refreshments and munchies! Is anyone interested? I was thinking about maybe June 25.......

New Member Registered	Hi folks: you might want to get in touch with the Calgary Dollars barter group. They meet every second Wed. of the month for potluck dinners and to trade and barter goods and services. They can be reached at 270-8002. It's a great way to meet people and get things you normally wouldn't be able to buy...they even have a newslettter and website. Check them out. I have been a member for 8 years. They meet down in Sunnyside at the West-Hillhurst community centre on 5Ave. NW, near 14 St. (There is a farmers market on the potluck nights during the summer months.
