New Member Registered	Hey there, I moved to Calgary in April and I am also really shocked at how hard it is to meet people here. I think a site specifically for that, NOT dating would be awesome. I am 21 and I am not really into the bar scene, but going for a drink or to see a band here and there is always better than being at home! I dont want male friends, Im lacking big time in the female friend department. I love music, the arts, movies, photography and most of the usual stuff too. New Member Registered	Guess so many of us are in the same boat. I agree, there should be a non-dating meeting site. I have only been in Calgary for a couple weeks, and although I find a lot of people to be friendly, I find that making friends has been difficult. I am a 29 year old female, Christian, and just in general looking for people within my age group, m/f both, to hang out with.

New Member Registered	You know, I hate to sound like a religious fanatic here, because I'm most certainly not, but one thing I have learned is that the very BEST way to meet people in any city is to join a church. So what if it costs you 10%? You're paying to belong to a friendship organization and you'll hopefully meet high class and loving people to boot.

New Member Registered	Hi, I just moved from Toronto to Calgary. I am in my mid 20's as well and working. It is so hard to find people my age. I remember I used to make my friends in universities and high school . NOw that I moved here its really difficult to find such people my age.. I am not much of a party animal though but I do love going places like for coffee and restaurants and having a good laugh or discussion. I love to play sports like volleyball or any other sports recreationally. I wouldnt even mind going to a park and setting up a volleyball tent or just go for a jog. If there is anyone out there who shares my interests let me know. By the way I am female and I am not looking for a relationship that is why I prefer lady friends...but just friends so if you are a girl and would like to hang out and are in the same situation as me let me know. I also wouldnt mind joining your group of friends. Thanks. Tina

New Member Registered	My wife and I moved to Calgary from New Brunswick in July of 2005. We are both looking to expand our network of friends (which is small in Calgary). Find it hard to meet friends in work environments and we are not into the bar scene anymore. Nothing wrong with going to a pub and enjoying music and beer. I have lived in Calgary for 20 years (originally from Saskatchewan) and I work shiftwork. It's difficult to make friends outside of work... and I would like to hang out, get together on the odd weekend, beer and wings... movies... dinner... that type of thing.
