New Member Registered	I'm from Toronto and moving to Calgary in July but don't know the city or it's "good and bad" areas. Can anyone help me by telling me what some of the bad areas are so I can avoid them? I am currently looking at apartments in Bankview and it seems okay...

New Member Registered	Hey Goingwest, Bankview is fine. You might run accross the occasional bottle collecter, but that's about it! I would just recommend staying away from the East end of town. Like anywhere, you'll find trouble if you go looking for it.. personally, I feel pretty safe here.

New Member Registered	Hey I've lived in Calgary for most of my life and feel most safe and most at home in the SW Bankview is not a bad area at all...calgary in general is a very very safe city thank god!

New Member Registered	Ive lived here for 5 years and i find that yes the west is very ncie there are places that are nice in the se jsut stay away from places like forest lawn and dover..there are nice paces in the se though like parkland and deer run where i live. im not sure about bankview but i hope you ahve found a place allready..there isn't a lot ov vancancies

New Member Registered	Bankview is quite good, and has easy access to downtown, by bus or car or bike. You are also close to 17th Ave and not far from Marda Loop and the farmers market at Currie Barracks. Another good area is Killarney. I'm an ex-Torontonian too and I've been here 16 years. Don't miss the humidity and grey winters one bit. Let me know if you need any more help.
