posted in Universal Energy Scam: Rates Higher than Local PUC 20 August 2007 1:03 PM I can't believe it, but I signed two forms when the guy came up at the door, with a bunch of hydro bills that other customers gave him. He just kept convincing me that I would get a 22% discount. As luck would have it, I checked the terms after he left and realized that it might be a trick. Immediately I ran out and found the guy in the lobby. I requested taking back the forms I signed and told him we need to think twice before we could commit. He said that it wouldn't be completed after they call us to confirm, but I insisted and got back the forms I signed. Am I safe? Maybe I still have to keep an eye on the bills for the coming months.
